Plan a year end party without endless group chat polls

Collect dates and times together, distinguish flexible availability, and share one clear decision for your December get-together.

December can fill up with work events, family plans and other gatherings. Messages such as "Tuesday after seven" and "Friday, but only until nine" make someone reconstruct a timetable from the chat. The following conversation is an illustrative example.

Why a date poll leaves work behind

A date vote does not establish a shared start and finish. Separate messages add qualifications that the organizer has to combine manually. People who have not replied also need follow-up before a decision can represent the group.

  1. 1Offer a useful rangeInclude several dates and evening hours
  2. 2Send one invitationNo account needed to respond
  3. 3Mark real availabilitySeparate Available and If needed
  4. 4Set a decision pointState when you intend to choose
  5. 5Share the outcomeSend the time and location together

Offer dates and times together

Open a practical set of December candidates, such as two weeks of evenings and weekend options, rather than a single favored date. The Evening time preset can help set the range. Keep the number of choices manageable for your group.

Send one invitation link

Post the link with a short request to mark available times. Participants do not need to install an app or create an account. Pinning the message can help people find the same invitation later.

Separate definite and flexible availability

Mark times that work as Available. Use If needed when attending depends on changing another commitment. On a phone, tap cells or press and hold before dragging; the range selector is another option. Someone who cannot attend any candidate can choose the all-unavailable response instead of leaving everyone guessing whether they replied.

Say when the group will decide

Write a reply deadline in the invitation. Pithup uses the earliest candidate's start as its response timing reference and provides decision guidance; it does not automatically message people or prevent every late reply. Send any reminder yourself through the original channel.

Check the result and announce it

The results show suggested times and who cannot attend. If an option depends on If needed replies, confirm those arrangements before deciding. Copy the announcement into the group chat and add the location.

If someone must attend, use the star beside their response to view candidates around that condition. A heatmap cell can also show the response breakdown for that time. Recommendations reflect replies received, not agreement from people who have not answered.
